The Tourism Ministry’s monthly cultural tour will be visiting Gozo on 22 April, starting with Ta’ Sopu and Kenuna Towers.

Ta’ Sopu Tower, which served as a watch tower, lies between Dahlet Qorrot and San Blas. Kenuna Tower, on the other hand, was built in 1848 and served as a telegraph link between Malta and Gozo.

From Kenuna tower, participants will be able to enjoy one of the best views in the Maltese Islands.

Actors from Playhouse will perform a re-enactment at the towers.

The tour will also be visiting the Gozo Maritime Museum, the exhibits in which include rare and priceless artifacts such as models, uniforms, photographs and vessel parts.

The exhibits in the museum were painstakingly collected by Kelinu Grima over a period of 65 years.

Then it will be the turn of St Augustine Convent and Church in Victoria, established by the Augustine Order, and the Gozo Cathedral Museum at the Citadel.

Transport will leave Floriana (next to the Independence Monu-ment) and Sliema (from opposite the Nazzarene Church) at 7.30am.

Departure on the Gozo ferry from Cirkewwa will be at 9am, and the return trip from Gozo is scheduled for 6pm.

Tickets, costing Lm9 for adults and Lm8 for senior citizens and children, do not include the ferry fare.
