Simon Zammit, Kevin D`Agostino, Richard Lewis and Jason Vassallo are through to the semi-finals after winning their direct encounters in the quarter-finals.

Zammit was in magnificent form when he beat Manolito Grech 4-2, compiling a break of 91 in the fourth frame which broke the record held by Duncan Bezzina who had scored an 88 and then broke his own record when in the sixth frame Zammit made a clearance of 119.

After trailing 1-2, Zammit made a great comeback as he won the next three frames to close the game on 4-2. The frame scores (Zammit first) were: 80-29, 46-65, 68-78, 116-7, 67-8 and 119-16.
