Maltese international referee Terry Camilleri (photo) has been selected to referee in the 888.com World Championships Snooker 2007, which are being held for the 30th time this year at The Crucible Theatre in Sheffield.

This will be the second year that he has been selected to referee matches at snooker’s most famous event of the year. He will be the only Maltese involved in this year World Championships. Both Maltese professionals, Tony Drago and Alex Borg, were eliminated in earlier rounds.

The tournament will commence next Saturday 21 April.
