Education Minister Louis Galea yesterday launched the prospectus for the full-time programmes of studies at the Institute of Tourism Studies for the academic year 2007/2008. Programmes of studies are being offered at Foundation, Certificate, Diploma and Higher Diploma Levels.
Foundation level is being offered in food preparation and service and in restaurant operations. Hotel operations, accommodation operations, food and beverage and supervisory studies, food preparation and production and supervisory studies programmes of study are being offered at Certificate Level.
Hotel operations, accommodation operations, food and beverage service and culinary arts programmes of study are being offered at diploma level while hospitality and tourism management is offered at higher diploma level.
The Institute of Tourism Studies in collaboration with the Employment and Training Corporation will be offering programmes of study under the Extended Skill Training Scheme (ESTS-Hospitality Trades) in Food Preparation and Service, Restaurant/Bar Operations and General Assistance.
Application forms may be obtained from the office of the registrar of the Institute of Tourism Studies, St George’s Bay, St Julian’s; ITS Gozo, and from all ETC job centres or they can be downloaded from the ITS website www.its.edu.mt.
