The next lunchtime concert will feature a recital entitled Vijubena by the young harpist Esmeralda Galea Camilleri. The concert, organised by the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts, will be held on Wednesday in the Music Room at St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity in Valletta.

The performance starts at 12.30pm and lasts about 30 minutes. Tickets at Lm1 (50c each for children under 12 and persons over 60) can be purchased from the booking office at the cavalier (telephone 2122-3200, opening hours from 10am to 9pm daily).

The concert programme includes various classical pieces for solo harp, which include Arabesque by Debussy, Camilleri’s Gesti, Fantasie sur un theme de l’Opera Eugene Onegin by Kune, Paganini’s Variation of Theme, and Impromptu by Faure.
