Malta Labour Party leader Alfred Sant will today open a book fair organised by the party to mark World Book Day.

Several book distributors will be taking part in this ninth edition of the fair.

This year, writers Guze Chetcuti, who died last year, Karmenu Vassallo, who died 20 years ago, and Dwardu Cachia, on the 100th anniversary of his death, will be remembered.

The Italian, French and Dutch embassies and the British High Commission will have their own stalls, while the American Embassy will take part through a story-telling session.

The exhibition will be held at the MLP headquarters in Hamrun and will be open tomorrow and on Sunday from 9am to 8pm.
