The Air Malta-Lufthansa Round Comino Race 2007 is being organised by Air Malta in association with Royal Malta Yacht Club.

This is an important event and has now gained a fixed spot in the local calendar.

The race is open to Bavaria Sailing Yachts with a RMYC Rating and will be sailed by staffs from Air Malta and Lufthansa as a unique occasion which hopefully will be repeated every year.

There will also be in fact appointed guests on board.

The racing course is a normal one used frequently by Royal Malta Yacht Club – starting from Marsamxett Harbour, then rounding Comino Island and back to finishing by the Black and white markers of the Yacht Club.

The event starts today with a briefing at 7.30pm that will be held at the Royal Malta Yacht Club.

The race proper will be held tomorrow Saturday with the first warning signal being given at 9.55 asm.

Also tomorrow there will be the prize giving ceremony starting at 8.30pm.
