The House of Representatives’ Permanent Committee for Social Affairs visited Helsinki to further its research and development on sectors falling under its responsibility.

The Maltese delegation had discussions with Esko Aho, former Finnish Prime Minister and current president of Sitra, the state organisation that promotes research, development and innovation.

A meeting was also held with the Tekes Agency, a government institution that excels in advanced technology.

The delegation, led by Nationalist MP Clyde Puli and including Labour MP Carmelo Abela and Nationalist MP Frederick Azzopardi, also met representatives of various Finnish Parliament committees.
