The highly-informative Net TV programme Doksa was stopped at the end of last month, leaving a kind of emptiness on our local television stations.

I am an avid follower of all programmes on local TV, in particular discussion programmes, and I must say that I immediately liked the format of Doksa. Most of all, I enjoyed a healthy debate on subjects of great importance, which were always carried out in full respect of other people’s thoughts.

Added to this, presenter Georg Sapiano always made sure that every participant got his or her fair share of air-time, and as such the subject in hand was covered from all angles, which is not something that can be said about other anchor-men.

This is unlike what goes on in other similar shows on our TV stations, where the discussion often barely gets off the ground and where people shout over each other, and viewers are none the wiser after the programme.

It is a great pity that Doksa is no longer with us. I do hope that Net TV decide to resume the programme as from next autumn or else come up with something similar.
