A 38-year-old foreign woman is in critical condition following an accident in Eucharistic Congress Street yesterday afternoon.

Police preliminary investigations revealed that the woman allegedly got off the bus while it was still moving, fell and hit her head.

An ambulance rushed her to hospital where she was certified to be suffering from grievous injuries and of being in critical condition.

Magistrate Dr Jaqueline Padovani was informed about the case. Police investigations are still underway.
