An exhibition of photographs, documents, and interesting memorabilia related to the famous World War I Gallipoli landings, and the commemoration of Anzac Day (25 April) is being held at the University of Malta Library from tomorrow until Friday, 4 May.
Malta played an important role during the Dardanelles campaign of 1915, not only through the many Maltese who were an active service there, but also because of the thousands of casualties who were evacuated to Malta for medical treatment. These servicemen hailed from all corners of the British Empire and some of them found their final resting place here.
The exhibition is open to the public daily from 9am to 7pm, Saturdays 9am to noon.
