Late last summer Cynergi introduced Pushing Power classes to its already extensive list of fitness classes. However, Pushing Power is no regular fitness class – its the only fitness class on the island designed for mothers with young children (who are still of the age to sit in their buggy). This class is designed to get mothers back into shape after pregnancy, toning core muscle groups, improving stamina and fat burning. The aim of the class is not only exercise, but it allows mums to bond with their child as well as socialise with other mothers. Pushing Power is unique because it allows these women to enjoy exercise without having to leave their child with a minder.
The Eden Leisure Group regognised the lack of activities for mothers and children and has since designed monthly cinema mornings for mothers and children, regular bowling mornings for mums and children and with the expertise of Cynergi, was able to offer these fitness classes too.
For the past six months Pushing Power classes have been held weekly on Monday mornings at the Eden Arena and have developed quite a following. With the support of sponsors as well as parentcraft, private hospitals and many others who believe the product to be of great benefit to mothers, the classes have developed a strong following.
Due to this success and the demand, Cynergi is hoping to introduce an afternoon class on Thursdays at 4pm. In order to asertain its feasibility, a FREE trial class is being held on the 26th April at 4pm, at the Eden Arena. It is recommend that those wishing to attend book on 237 10 700 and turn up in good time on the day.
Free parking is offered to all participants at the Eden Car Park and baby changing and feeding facilities are on hand.
Cynergi also has a creche available for mothers with more than one child and who don’t have a double buggie, the creche charges Lm1 per hour.
