The Committees and members of Friends of Australia Association of Malta (FOAA) and the Gozo Branch (FOAAG) would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Justice, Home Affairs and Local Government Ministry for amending the Citizenship Act to grant Maltese citizenship to a substantial number of second generation Maltese and Gozitan migrants.

This is a clear sign of mature state that recognises and welcomes the wishes of thousands of its citizenry with Maltese and Gozitan roots living in Australia, Canada, and the United States, the United Kingdom among other places.

Malta too is gradually becoming sensitive to the circumstances, often inhumane, faced by its citizens in many countries around the globe and embraces them back home.

Maltese and Gozitan-Australian born, American born, Canadian born and others faced many hardships until dual-citizenship was introduced in Malta. Let us embrace to the full extend the concept of a Greater Malta.
