The Nationalist Party’s Solidarjeta Haddiema welcomed the SmartCity project, saying this represented the biggest investment ever made in Malta, involving at least $300 million and the creation of 5,600 jobs.
The project did not come to Malta by coincidence, it said, but because Nationalist governments had always invested in education and because Malta had joined the European Union. And the creation of the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology seven years ago ensured there would be the trained human resources necessary to attract such investments, Solidarjeta Haddiema said.
