The MADC’s latest production is Simon Mendes Da Costa’s touching comedy Losing Louis. Interwoven events from the past and present blend together in this hilarious comedy set in a middle-class bedroom. In the late 1960s we see Louis, an adulterous solicitor, enjoying a forbidden relationship with a female prodigy: what he doesn’t know until too late is that his son, Tony, is privy to their lovemaking.
After years of separation, Louis’s funeral is the catalyst for the family members having to face it out in the bedroom – the place where all the confusion began… and the place where the truth about each of them will finally be discovered. Losing Louis is directed by Wesley Ellul and stars Jean Pierre Agius, Nanette Brimmer, Stephan Cachia Zammit, Jo Caruana, Rachel Darmanin Demajo, Malcolm Galea and Ingrid Scerri.
Performances will be held at the MADC Clubrooms in Sta Venera tonight (as a preview night) and 4 and 6 May. Tickets at Lm3 and Lm4 may be booked on email [email protected] More information is available from www.madc.biz
