Conference To launch PRIMO Malta

Malta Independent Monday, 30 April 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

Adrian Mifsud and John O’Dea, president and vice-president of the Association of Local Councils Executive Secretaries (ASKLM) were elected to the board of directors of the Public Risk Management Organisation (PRIMO) Europe during the general assembly in Dublin on 16 April.

PRIMO Europe was set up by UDITE (the Union of Local Authority Chief Executives of Europe – a trans-European association for city managers in Europe with a core membership of 15 national associations in the European countries) in September 2006. Its long-term aim is to establish risk management as a natural and integral part of good public governance. Mr Mifsud and Mr O’Dea are president and treasurer of UDITE respectively.

A conference on Public Risk Management, organised by the Department for Local Government, the Association of Local Councils (AKL) and the Association of Local Councils Executive Secretaries (ASKLM) will be held in June, when PRIMO Malta will be launched.
