An uninhabited residence in Buskett, limits of Dingli, was damaged in a fire that broke out on Sunday evening.
A police statement said the police were informed about the fire at about 7.30pm, and members of the Civil Protection Department were called to put out the blaze.
Nobody was injured. The police are not excluding the possibility that it was an arson attempt.
In a separate incident, a car and the front door of a resident in Bwieraq Street, Birkirkara were also damaged in a fire that broke out at 4.20am yesterday. CPD members put out the fire.
Magistrate Tonio Micallef Trigona appointed several experts to help him in the two inquiries.
