It’s Official, P1 TV coverage has worldwide demand

Malta Independent Wednesday, 2 May 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 20 years ago

The appointment of Greenlight Television to develop P1’s global television coverage has had an immediate impact with confirmation that the pre-season video news release – being distributed this week – has already been ordered by broadcasters in more than 22 countries including Argentina, Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the Lebanon.

The worldwide distribution networks EBU, based in Switzerland, and Reuters News Agency have also agreed to take the footage and a further 28 orders have already been received for the post-Malta release.

Creating VNRs (Video News Releases) in the build-up to, during and after each race is a new P1 initiative and available to all broadcasters. It enables P1 to secure mainstream and peak-time news and sports coverage for the benefit of the sport, teams, manufacturers and sponsors.

Last year, the highlight show from each Grand Prix was broadcast in 70 countries worldwide. The early signs would suggest even greater exposure in 2007.
