Your newspaper was the first to report about the so-called “abortion ship” planning to visit Malta (TMID, 25 April), and followed it up with another story on the next day quoting Women on Waves director Dr Rebecca Gomperts saying that Malta will “definitely” be one of the countries on our list.

Dr Gomperts should be told that abortion is illegal in our country, and that she is therefore not welcome here, not even if he ship remains outside Maltese territorial waters.

Abortion is the killing of innocent human beings, and it goes against humanity.

I trust that the Maltese authorities will not allow the ship to enter Maltese waters.
