To commemorate Mother’s Day, the 34U Campaign is organising a tree planting activity during which people can plant a tree in honour of their mum.

The activity will be held next Saturday – 12 May – between 9am and 1pm at Salini, Kennedy Grove Park. Salini is just one of four areas that are part of the 34U afforestation project, the other locations being Xrobb l-Ghagin, Ta’ Qali and Mellieha.

The 34U campaign enables people to commemorate an important event, remember a loved one, present an original gift to someone, or simply adopt a tree for themselves. The tree will be identified by a wooden tag attached to it, bearing the name of the person. A photograph commemorating the event will be taken and is also included in the Lm6 price of the tree.
