St Paul’s Bay Promenade embellishment

Malta Independent Saturday, 5 May 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 15 years ago

Some Lm400,000 is being spent by the government on the embellishment of the promenade leading from Qawra all the way through Bugibba and St Paul’s Bay to Xemxija.

Part of the money has already been used on work covering the area close to Dawret il-Gzejjer in Bugibba and another part of the project was the Xemxija promenade itself, work that was carried out in 2005 and 2006.

What remains to be completed is the area close to St Paul’s Bay primary school, which on its own will cost Lm50,000. St Paul’s Bay local council is paying Lm15,000 of the costs.

Resources and Infrastruc-ture Minister Ninu Zammit, who was on site yesterday, said that through such work the tourist zone has been extended to cover the whole area up to Xemxija.
