The Maltese Latin American Wheelchair Dance Champions Steven Fenech and Mandy Ghio recently competed in the International German Classic Championships for Wheelchair Dancing in Rheinsburg, Germany.

They were placed first

in the Latin American Championship and

second in the Ballroom Championships.

It was a proud moment for them when the Maltese National Anthem was played after receiving the award for first place.

Pippa Roberts, the trainer of the couple said “ They worked very hard and really deserved to do well”.

The couple have been competing abroad as often as possible, making the finals in the major championships.

Steve and Mandy would like to encourage all wheelchair users who love music to take part in this enjoyable sport, either socially or competitively.
