Ten European government officials, from Finland, the Czech Republic, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Portugal, and Slovakia, will be in Malta during the next few weeks to participate in an Arabic language course.
The course, an initiative of the Defence Matters Directorate in the Office of the Prime Minister and the Armed Forces of Malta, is being organised as a joint project between Malta and Italy. It is a pilot project, and the tuition is being provided at the Department of Arabic and Near Eastern Studies of the Faculty of Arts in the University of Malta.
The course became a reality thanks to the excellent capabilities and the long experience that Malta has acquired over the years in the teaching of the Arabic language.
