The Malta Billiards Championship final next Thursday will bring the 2006-2007 season of the MBSA to an end.

The semi-finals are being held between today and tomorrow with Guzi Grech of St Joseph BC, a former local and world champion, facing Thomas Busuttil of PN Senglea at the Prince of Wales BC at Vittoriosa today and Pancrazio Borg of Anglo Maltese League and Brian Cardona meeting tomorrow at the Melita BC, Msida.

The two semi-finals and the final, to be played at the Hamrun Liberty Club, will commence at 6pm.

All matches will be over two hours, as the MBSA has decided to return to the original format, instead of having the match decided by frames. This decision has led to more interest being shown by participants and it seems that the game is now back on the road to recovery.
