Enemalta Chairman Alexander J. Tranter met with Antonella Chouhal, (photo) who works as a clerk within the Enemalta Procurement section, and congratulated her for breaking a 35-year-old national Discus record recently with a distance of 40.75 metres.
“I have been putting three hours of training a day for the last months and with the continued support of my husband I finally managed to break the record” Antonella told Mr Tranter.
She is at the moment trying her best to qualify for the Monaco Games being held next June. Antonella managed to break the 38.94 metres record set in 1972 and was held by her own training coach.
Mr Tranter presented Antonella with a gift voucher and wished her well in her quest to qualify for the upcoming games of the European Small Nations in Monaco.
