Ray Bondin was reconfirmed president of the International Committee of Historic Towns and Villages at the committee’s annual meeting in Helsinki, Finland, which was attended by over 60 members from 23 countries.

The committee is one of the most important international scientific committees of ICOMOS (International Council on Monuments and Sites). It has more than 100 members and 200 associate members from all over the world and is composed of the top experts in the field of management and conservation of historic towns and villages.

Dr Bondin is the executive coordinator of the Rehabilitation Projects Office, a board member of Heritage Malta and a member of the Heritage Advisory Committee.

He lectures on the management of historic cities across Europe and has undertaken several evaluation and monitoring missions for Unesco and other organisations.
