For the fourth consecutive year the MRFU, with the support of Sundreams Travel Limited, organised the Malta Rugby International Clubs tournament.

The competition has always been a popular fixture in the rugby touring calendar, and this year was no exception.

Four teams, the SEC Llanrumney RFC from Wales, the British Police RFC from UK, the Tottonians RFC from England and the Tripoli Barbarians from Libya participated in this year’s tournament.

The winning side was the British Police RFC who beat SEC Llanrumney RFC from Wales 42-0 in the final on Sunday afternoon.

Two teams, in the form of Kavallieri Blue Label RFC and the Spartans RFC, represented local rugby.

Following the close of the competition on Sunday a presentation night took place at The Alley in Paceville.
