The National Euro Changeover Committee (NECC) has launched the first in a series of monthly newspapers that will be delivered to every household.
L-ewro fuq l-ghatba (The euro on the doorstep) is in Maltese and forms part of the information and communications campaign aimed at informing the public about the practical details of the changeover to the euro, which is expected to take place on 1 January 2008.
The newspaper also features a full list of outlets taking part in the FAIR scheme. More than 2,000 outlets are now carrying the FAIR sticker, which means they have promised the consumer not to raise prices because of the euro changeover and that they are following best practices to make the changeover as smooth as possible for their clients.
May’s first edition of L-ewro fuq l-ghatba provides practical details about the euro calculators which are going to be delivered free of charge to every household later this year.
