A socio-religious play about Blessed Gorg Preca, who will be canonised next month, is being presented at the Catholic Institute in Floriana by the drama company Karattri. It was written by Lino Grech.

Aghtini l-Ghajnuna, as the play is called, attempts to show the character of Dun Gorg, and what motivated him.

The cast of 40 people includes Marica Mizzi, Vivienne Caruana, Joe Cortis, Louis Gatt, Carmel Gauci, Philip Mizzi, Ronnie Galea, Paul Caruana, Antoine Micallef, Daniel Borg Carbott and Anthony Ellul who will be playing the part of Dun Gorg. The play will be presented at the Catholic Institute theatre, Floriana on Saturday 26 May at 7pm and on Sunday 27 May at 6.30pm. Tickets are now on sale at the Catholic Institute theatre booking office (Tel.: 2123-8429) between 5pm and 7.30pm, and in the morning from the theatre’s bar.
