Maltese veteran Guzi Grech, of St Joseph Band Club, Hamrun, won the Malta Billiards Championship once again on Thursday night – his tenth – after beating Pankrazio Borg of Anglo Maltese League 971-470 in the final, held at the Hamrun Liberty Club.

During the match, played in front of a good number of spectators, Grech also compiled a good break of 147.

The veteran cueist has therefore added another title to his long string of success, which include a world championship title.

Association president Frans Bugeja controlled Thursday’s final. He also presented the trophies to Grech and Borg at the end of the match.
