On the occasion of the Feast of Pentecost, the Malta Ecumenical Council is organising a celebration, entitled Stir Us, Free Us, aimed at uniting in prayer Christians from different denominations.

The celebration, which will be open to everyone, will take place on Monday, 21 May from 6pm to 7.30pm, at St Paul’s Anglican Pro-Cathedral in Valletta.

The preachers will be Archbishop Mgr Paul Cremona OP, Fr Tom Mendel SSC from the Church of England and the Rev. David Morris from the Union of the Scottish Church and the Methodist Congregation.

The Pentecost Solemnity celebrates the occasion when Christ’s Apostles received the Holy Spirit and went out to preach the Gospel.
