Pendergardens is supporting Exiles Sports Club through a sponsorship for the coming season of the national waterpolo championship, scheduled to start in June.

“Pendergardens is committed to supporting Malta’s young waterpolo talent. Exiles was a natural choice for the proximity of the club to the project and also for the very interesting fact that in the past, Cable and Wireless boasted of an Exiles Sports Club which covered a number of disciplines like hockey, football, tennis and rugby,” said Peter Diacono, the Chief Executive Officer of Pendergardens.

Until 1975, the local Head Office of Cable and Wireless was Mercury House, which is now part of the larger Pendergardens project situated within the commercial area and which will be fully restored by the developers.

Once the restoration works are completed, the Mercury House site will focus around a very large open public piazza surrounded by a mix of retail and up-market leisure outlets. The commercial tower will offer ready to move into office spaces and an underground public car park will also be provided.
