The Malta Transport Authority said that in view of trenching works carried out recently by Enemalta Corporation along Regional Road, reinstatement works will be carried out as follows:
Tomorrow from 7pm up to Saturday at 9am
Regional Road in the direction of St Julian’s from j/w Mriehel Bypass (prior to Sta Venera tunnels) up to j/w slip road leading to Valley Road, Msida will be completely closed to vehicular traffic. The slip road leading from Mriehel Bypass to Regional Road in the direction of St Julian’s will also be closed to vehicular traffic.
To this end, vehicular traffic from Marsa along Triq Aldo Moro in the direction of St Julian’s and vehicular traffic from Rabat along Mriehel Bypass will be diverted to 13 December Road, Marsa, National Road, Blata l-Bajda and Marina Road, Msida.
On Saturday from 9am
The outer lane of the Regional Road carriageway in the direction of St Julian’s will be open to vehicular traffic. The slip road leading from Mriehel Bypass to Regional Road in the direction of St Julian’s will also be open to vehicular traffic.
On Sunday from 5am until 2pm
Regional Road in the direction of St Julian’s from j/w Mriehel Bypass (prior to Sta Venera tunnels) up to j/w slip roads to Valley Road, Msida will be completely closed to vehicular traffic.
From Sunday until Tuesday
The slip road from Regional Road leading to Valley Road, Msida and the slip road from Valley Road, Msida (near Form) leading to Regional Road (near Enemalta tunnel access) will be closed to vehicles.
On Monday
The access from the slip road leading to Regional Road will be opened to vehicular traffic during traffic peak hours, i.e. between 6am and 9.30am and 4pm and 7pm.
Motorists are advised to proceed with caution.
