I think Malta should seriously consider withdrawing from the Eurovision Song Contest if the voting system remains as it is now.
We are at a serious disadvantage: we have no physical neighbours and our language is unique.
We have seen it over and over again. Countries which are close to each other vote for their neighbours every time. And the more time passes, the more Malta will get “lost” in such a system.
I believe that the televoting system should be reviewed. It should only take up a percentage of the overall vote each country gives (maybe 50 per cent?) and the rest should be the result of a jury of music experts. It is only in this way that there could be a more impartial result.
The more time passes, the more it will become difficult for Malta unless something changes.
