On 8 March, Woman’s Day, members and relatives of our club planted just under 100 trees in the 34U campaign. The shocking news of the destruction of trees at the Foresta 2000 site beneath the Mellieha Red Tower came to us as a senseless act of environmental vandalism.

On behalf of YWCA (Malta), I would like to join the many others who condemned this atrocious act.
