Over 250 primary and
secondary school students participated in the various workshops that were held during the annual open day at the Access Community Resource Centre in Vittoriosa yesterday. This year, the day was based on the theme of Equal Opportunities for All.
The aim was to continue promoting the accessibility of the centre, and the various services and projects it offers to children and young people, and to increase awareness of the EU year of Equal Opportunities for All.
During the day, a series of workshops was organised for children and young people. Other activities included a video forum on race and religion, experimental activities, discussions on gender equality in the workplace and the difficulties faced by people with a disability.
Appogg Smart Kids held a workshop entitled Equality in the Family, which explored how equality could be present despite the different roles of parents and children.
