‘whodancedit?’

Malta Independent Saturday, 19 May 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 20 years ago

whodancedit?, which is presented by Hats & Tales, is an original one-act play inspired by the murder mystery and whodunit genre. The story recounts the strange events of four very strange characters trapped in a very, very strange place – with a dead body. No one has a clue who she is or what they are doing there. And no one seems to care either. However, as an ominous presence creeps into the air, it soon becomes apparent that the only escape out of this ghastly place is certain death. “Might as well dance my way out of here” says one of the characters.

whodancedit? is written and directed by Nicole Cuschieri and Christian Galea. The cast includes Kirstin Holland, Chris Galea, Annabelle Galea, Domenic Dimech and Gilbert Micallef, with original music by KrisuKola.

The play will be held over one weekend, from 25 to 27 May at MITP Theatre, St Christopher Street, Valletta at 8pm.

Tickets cost Lm4 and bookings are through St James Cavalier (Tel: 2122-3200).

For further information please contact [email protected], www.myspace.com/hatsandtales, or call 7991-1200.

The play is being presented in collaboration with The Tourism and Culture Ministry and St James Cavalier.

Hats and Tales would like to give a special thank you to Tourism and Culture Minister Francis Zammit Dimech for recognising the need to help and support small non-profit artistic organisations who have difficulty creating their visions due to a lack of support and funding in Malta.
