With reference to the letter that appeared on Sunday 22 April entitled “The Gozo Church should set an example”, and especially the last paragraph, The Malta Independent on Sunday would like to state that following further inquiries it is now in a position to say that the Nadur parish never had any stores nor did it sell any stores. Therefore all the conclusions drawn by the author – that the church is blinded by greed and that money walks, money talks – were incorrect. The newspaper apologises to the Nadur parish.
