Malta suffered a heavy 36-3 defeat in Poland yesterday in Group IIB of the European Championship.
It was a match in which the Maltese were trounced convincingly by a superior Polish side which, after a shaky start, took complete conitrol of the proceedings, keeping Malta at bay. At the interval, the Poles led 15-3. Malta’s only points came from a Ryan Borg penalty on 20 minutes. It was not enough to stop the Poles from registering such a convincing win.
