Top Maltese players Alex Borg and Simon Zammit yesterday knew who will be their opponents in the European Snooker Championships to be held in Carlow, Ireland between 5 and 12 June.

Borg, drawn to play in Group A, will meet Gary Thompson from Scotland, Itaro Santos of Germany, Martin Mc Crudden of the Irish Republic, Anthony Brabin from Cyprus, Finn Mika Karhu, Swiss Jonny Fulcher and Henrikas Strolis of Lithuania.

Zammit’s opponents will be Kristja Helgason of Iceland,David Mills from Wales,Tom Gleeson of the Eire Republic, Pole Krzysztof Wrobel, Mindaugas Skurvydas of Lithuania, Tomas Kejla from the Czech Republic Rep.Ceka and Jim Johanson of Sweden.
