The last lunchtime concert for the season will feature

violinist and pianist Jean Noël Attard. For the violin

numbers, he will be accompanied on the piano by his father, Colin.

The concert, organised by the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts, will take place tomorrow in the Music Room, St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity, Valletta.

Jean Noël and Colin Attard will be performing a number of piano and violin duos, including Liebesfreud by Fritz Kriesler, Jules Massenet’s Meditation from ‘Thais’, Guitarre by Moritz Moszkowski – Pablo de Sarasate and Danse Espagnole by Manuel de Falla – Fritz Kreisler. They will also be interpreting a composition by Colin Attard himself, entitled Lejn Hajja Ahjar, from the soundtrack of the video-film Il-lehen mill-kwadru.

The performance starts at 12.30pm and will last approximately 30 minutes. Tickets at Lm1, and 50c for children under 12 and those over 60 ,can be purchased from the booking office at St James Cavalier, Tel: 2122-3200.
