A vehicle and a door of a residence were damaged in a fire that broke out in Gallina Street, San Gwann, early yesterday morning.

The police said that a tyre was placed in front of the residence and set on fire, and the blaze spread to the car and the front door. The car and the residence are owned by the same person, the police said.

Members of the Civil Protection Department were called to put out the blaze.

Magistrate Edwina Grima appointed several experts to help her in the inquiry. The police are investigating.
