Court: Hunters’ Protest mayhem

A 27-year-old man from Rabat who participated in the hunters’ protest in Valletta in March was fined Lm300 after the court found him guilty of forming part of a group of 10 or more people with the intention of committing a crime.

Godfrey Camilleri was fined by magistrate Edwina Grima after he admitted forming part of this group and disobeying police orders during the protest, which was marred by violence targeted at journalists and cameramen. He also admitted breaching the peace.

Police Inspectors Pierre Micallef Grimaud and Anthony Portelli prosecuted.
