Enemalta Corporation will be hosting an open day at the Delimara power station next Sunday between 9am and 5pm.
During the day “of fun and activities”, visitors will be treated to a variety of events including a guided tour around the plant, several exhibitions, entertainment for children and a dynamic display of energy-generating equipment and artefacts such as the rotating steam turbine.
The open day is part of Enemalta’s ongoing activities to commemorate 30 years of commitment to providing Malta’s energy and is just one occasion among a full programme of events that are set to run throughout the year.
These include the final stages of an energy-themed competition that was launched for schoolchildren in March, a number of summer sporting days for Enemalta employees and their families, and the launch of a communications campaign in June.
The objective of the campaign will be to generate awareness of the role that Enemalta plays, while also communicating the basics of how the corporation functions.
