The Gozo Channel Company’s ferry MV Malita has entered Malta Shipyards and will be out of service till 7 June.
During this docking period cargo trips to and from Sa Maison will be temporarily suspended. Operators are requested to use the Cirkewwa port in the interim period.
Three additional trips will be added to the company’s weekday schedule to make up for the shortfall in capacity:
• The 6.45am trip from both Cirkewwa and Mgarr will be substituted by two trips at 6.30am and 7am.
• The two early afternoon trips scheduled at 12.15pm and 1.15pm will be replaced with four trips, performed instead at noon, 12.30pm, 1pm and 1.30pm.
A shuttle service will also be provided if demand so necessitates.
During weekends an additional trip will be introduced in the early afternoon which will allow trips to be spaced out over 45 minute intervals. This means that the trips which usually are operated between 12.15pm and 1.15pm will be replaced with trips at noon, 12.45pm and 1.30pm.
