The Association for Abandoned Animals (AAA) recently held a fund-raising event at the Villa Brasserie, Balluta Bay (pictured right). Guests were able to savour a variety of dishes from a sumptuous buffet that featured a mix of colours, flavours and textures prepared by executive head chef Andy Gaskin and sous-chef Steve Mallia at the Villa Brasserie, while food & beverage manager Joseph Cauchi oversaw the event. Following dinner, the guests were shown a feature on the work of the AAA over the last few months. A number of prizes were also drawn, with the proceeds going to the association.

The Association for Abandoned Animals was established by Freddie Fenech in 1979 to care for animals that need help. It is run on a voluntary basis and is entirely funded by generous individuals and organisations that donate funds and lend a helping hand.

The aim of the association is to fight cruelty to animals, to rescue abandoned animals and to encourage neutering, while also promoting animal awareness.
