Apart from being a place for research and a store for our national treasures and archives, Malta’s National Library also attracts many tourists. They are always fascinated by the architecture of this imposing building, which was left to us by the Knights of St John, and are constantly asking questions about its history and the collections found inside.

Because of this interest, the library has now published attractive brochures in six different languages which give basic information about this site.

Apart from these brochures, two sets of post cards have also been published: one with 10 postcards and another set with five postcards. On the back of each card, there is information about the photo which is pictured, such as the main staircase leading up to the Reading Room, the Reading Room itself, as well as precious manuscripts, tapestries, early Maltese newspapers and other historic documents.

These brochures and postcards were all designed and published by the Government Printing Press and are already available from the National Library for those who are interested.
