AFM Rescue services kept busy

Malta Independent Sunday, 27 May 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 18 years ago

An AFM patrol boat was dispatched yesterday afternoon to assist the sailing boat Caprice, which was sailing some two nautical miles off the northern coast of Gozo because it had a rope entangled in its propeller.

In a separate incident, at around 4.20pm, RCC Malta was informed that onboard the local pleasure craft, Alivok, a woman was suffering from fits.

The boat was instructed to make port, where an ambulance from St Luke’s Hospital had been dispatched. The woman was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment.
