A group of 13 companies from Leipzig visited Malta on a combined business and language week last month.

The idea for the visit was proposed during a meeting between the Maltese Ambassador to Germany, Dr John-Paul Grech and James Parsons, Director of ICC Language School, Leipzig as a result of a series of joint exploratory visits to Leipzig undertaken by the Ambassador of Malta in Germany in co-operation with Malta Enterprise.

Throughout the week, the Leipzig entrepreneurs enjoyed business English lessons at the Easy School of Languages, Valletta and quizzed expert speakers in the afternoon sessions on various aspects of business life in Malta.

The group also visited a number of companies, including Playmobil, and met several members of Malta Junior Chamber who hosted an evening buffet at the Old Farm House in Qormi. The companies also attended a German company evening, an event jointly organised by Malta Enterprise and the German Embassy in Malta.
