HSBC has presented the third Lm4,000 instalment of its three-year Lm12,000 commitment to Scoops.
The bank’s Head of Personal Financial Services, Godfrey Swain, presented the sponsorship to Outlook Coop amid much bustle, fun, and colourful stands at the annual Scoops Fair held in Valletta.
The fair attracted passing trade, and showcased young talents and skills.
Keen Scoop members exhibited an assortment of products at the fair. The event was also a great opportunity for students to practise their sales and social skills. Throughout the scholastic year, students and educators participating in the Scoops Project explored themes related to operating a business based on the cooperative model.
Scoops is an educational project owned by the Cooperatives Board. The project offers secondary school students the opportunity to discover how to run their own business based on the cooperative model. The project is taken up by schools on a voluntary basis and introduces students aged 12 to 15 to the world of employment and cooperative principles.
